Bessie Mae Vintage Terms & Conditions
Bessie Mae Vintage is an online retailer. When you shop with us (or access our services, website, or apps (our ‘Websites”) these terms will apply. These terms are important as they set out what we expect when you access our websites and services, plus they provide you with helpful information. We keep these terms and conditions under review and update and amend them once in a while, so please check them before you shop, as the latest terms and conditions will apply.
If you want to shop with us you need to:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Have a credit or debit card that we accept, or a PayPal account
- Be authorised to use that credit or debit card or PayPal account
Please note, not all goods sold through our website may be suitable for purchase by those under 18 years of age.
Placing An Order With Us
When you have placed an order with us, you should receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your order. Your payment will be processed through PayPal. We will only accept your order once payment has been approved and the monies have been debited from your PayPal account (and then the contract is made based on these terms).
You may be able to cancel (not change) your order within a short period of ordering, this may also depend on the delivery method, which will be confirmed in the acknowledgement e-mail. It is not possible to change your order, you will have to cancel (and / or return the original item/s and then re-order the correct item/s.
Please note, all orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. If there is an issue with an order, please do not worry as we will get in touch with you.
On rare occasions, we may have to refuse or cancel an order or close or freeze an account, even though we may have already confirmed an order. This is generally where me suspect something dodgy is going on with an order or account. If this happens to you and you believe we have made a mistake, please be patient and please contact Customer Care firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be more than happy to help you and get things back on track.
Prices And Product Descriptions
We do our best, but it has been known for us to make a mistake with a price or description of a product or promotion and provide the wrong information. If we discover an error we will tell you as soon as we can and give you the option of reconfirming your order (at the correct price) or cancelling it. Unfortunately, if you are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you decide to cancel and you have paid, we will refund you in full.
Please note, all prices include VAT (where applicable).
Please be aware, that depending on the value of your order or the delivery option or address you have chosen, delivery costs may also be charged. These additional charges will be clearly shown during the checkout process and will be included in the total cost.
Once you have concluded your order, please allow approximately 14 days for delivery of your item. Please note that this is an estimate and your order will be dispatched as soon as possible, if it is in stock this could be within 2 days.
We work hard to try to deliver items quickly as we know that you are eagerly waiting for them, but sometimes there are delays, i.e. due to postal or carrier delays, logistics or bad weather. We will try and keep you informed as much as possible and we will let you know when your item has been dispatched. Returns And Refunds
You have 28 days to return an item from when it is delivered (please get proof of postage). It is of course okay to try the item on, but please do wear underwear underneath the item. It is not okay to wear the item because if it is returned to us worn or in an unsuitable condition, we will not be able to give you a refund and we may have to send it back to you. The returned items must be in the original packaging. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Some items cannot be returned or a refund given, i.e. earrings, pierced jewellery or personal items such as swim wear, undergarments and gift cards.
Please note, this does not affect your statutory rights.
On occasions, we may make a Promo Code available to you so that you can use it to reduce the price of specific products. Remember, it is always up to you to enter the correct Promo Code at the checkout! Each Promo Code has its own terms, which will be made clear to you at the time of issue to you, (i.e. what product/s single multiple use, when it can be used, any deadlines, etc).
Unless you are told otherwise, Promo Codes cannot be used to buy any other product or to buy Bessie Mae Vintage Gift Vouchers.
If you are given a unique Promo Code, that is meant just for you (i.e. a student Promo Code) please keep it secret and do not let anyone else use or share it or abuse it (i.e. do not post it to social media). If we believe that a Promo Code has been misused in any way (i.e. selling it or sharing it with others), we will cancel your Promo Code and or suspend or close your account without telling you. We do not like to do this but if Promo Codes cannot work to benefit the correct people because someone or something is using them unfairly, (i.e. fraud, tampering, technical errors or anything else that is beyond our control) that affect the running or fairness of the Promo Code, we will cancel, modify or suspend the Promo Code.
If you are lucky to receive a Bessie Mae Vintage Gift Voucher, please keep it safe. If you are the generous soul that is buying one for someone else, please make sure that you get their e-mail address correct! If you get this incorrect and the Gift Voucher is e-mailed to someone else who then uses it, unfortunately we are unable to do anything to help. Please, please double check the e-mail address is correct before buying the Gift Voucher.
Remember, spam filters can send our e-mails into junk or spam folders. So, if you have not been thanked for your generosity, it may be worth giving them the heads up that something fabulous may be waiting for them in their junk or spam folder.
If your details change, remember that you need to update them in your ‘Account’ so we can provide you with the best service.
We also like to keep in touch with you via social media. However, we do not have any control over the social media platforms or how you have set your profile on them. Therefore, we recommend that you check your privacy settings and set them so that you understand and are happy with how your personal information is being used on social media platforms.
What You Must Never Do
You should never misuse or tamper with our websites, apps or other services (“Websites”) i.e. hack, introduce viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs, or any other technologically harmful material or carry out denial of service attacks, etc); or do anything with our tech, or functionality or steal our or our customer’s data. Plus, please do not use automated systems or software to extract data from our website (i.e. screen scrapping).
If you do any of these things it is likely to be a criminal offence, but you will also interfere with us providing the best possible service to our customers . Bessie Mae Vintage will report any such breach or unauthorised activity, including all information relating to the people carrying out such behaviour, to the relevant law enforcement authorities.
We would recommend that you use virus protection software when using the internet, as although we use technology to protect our business, we cannot guarantee that it will always be secure.
If you do any of the above, please note that you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Bessie Mae Vintage and all its directors, officers, employees, consultants, agents and affiliates, from any and all third-party claims, liability, damages and or costs (which will include, but is not limited to legal fees) arising from your use or misuse of our website or your breach of our Terms and Conditions.
Intellectual Property, Software And Content
Bessie Mae Vintage respects the intellectual property of other peoples, so please respect our intellectual property rights, which includes the ‘Website’ and its content. All such rights are reserved.
We are happy to allow you to store, print and display our Website content only for your own personal use. You are not allowed to use any part of the Website for commercial purposes unless we give you express permission.
You are not allowed to use Bessie Mae Vintage’s logo or any Bessie Mae Vintage brand or trade mark without express permission.
We are happy to allow you to link to mae-raelingerie.uk or mae-raelingerie.com, so long as you are not doing so for commercial reasons, it is fair for you to do so and legal, plus it must not damage or take advantage of our reputation. You are not allowed to link to our Website in such a way as to suggest any form of approval or endorsement by Bessie Mae Vintage, where none exists.
Further, our Website must not be framed on any other site without our permission.
